Our Story
Co-founded by sister duo Nia Faith and Justice Faith Betty, Révolutionnaire began with a mission to democratize dance apparel with inclusive colorways and has expanded into a broader collection for all to celebrate the skin they’re in.

IT STARTED WITH A DREAM
As a lifelong dancer, Howard University student Nia Faith Betty saw the need for diverse apparel offerings that went beyond the limited nude colorways to suit dancers of all backgrounds.
After spending countless hours dyeing dancewear to match her skin tone, she knew it was time for change and launched Révolutionnaire’s inclusive clothing line that served and empowered all to celebrate the skin they’re in.
It turned into a movement
Inspired by their impact within the dance industry and passion for social change, Nia, alongside her sister and co-founder, Justice, made it their mission to build Révolutionnaire into a platform to address a range of social justice issues. Today, the young entrepreneurs have evolved the brand into a larger movement with key resources that empower individuals to use their dreams to fuel revolutions.

Révolutionnaire and Roots
Our second collaboration continued with the release of Roots’ classic Sweats, Tees, Banff Weekender Bag, and Award Jacket, reimagined with Révolutionnaire’s signature colorway and messaging.

Dreams Fuel Revolutions
In February of 2021, Révolutionnaire launched the first phase of our collaboration with Roots, a tee shirt that proclaimed Dreams Fuel Revolutions. The shirt sold out in under 24 hours and sparked a conversation about the power of dreams.
